Why are computer people so loathe to financially reward computer people? Why the determination not to financially reward the developers for their efforts? Why would I hypothetically write a 3270 emulator if it's not important enough to pay for? My preference is for well maintained software to which I can easily make local changes. There's room for both open source and proprietary software.
